Get ‘em while you still can (all of mp3 that is)

Read today on TechCrunch that Russian music site AllofMP3.com has responded to the RIAA’s rediculous $1.65 Trillon lawsuit they filed in NY.
Here’s their response:

“AllofMP3 understands that several U.S. record label companies filed a lawsuit against Media Services in New York,” an unnamed “senior company official” stated. “This suit is unjustified as AllofMP3 does not operate in New York. Certainly the labels are free to file any suit they wish, despite knowing full well that AllofMP3 operates legally in Russia. In the mean time, AllofMP3 plans to continue to operate legally and comply with all Russian laws.”

Or “go pound sand” as TechCrunch puts it (i love that).

According to reports on Michael Arrington’s reports/sources he says AllofMP3 wont be around much longer due to their own country trying to find ways to shut them down. That’s a shame for most who agree that they aren’t doing anything wrong. I mean, what ARE they doing wrong … selling mp3’s at a reasonable rate? What’s so wrong about that?

  1. ive always thought that they sold a great produce at a price every one could afford , in a format of their chosing .
if you worked out their prices vs quality
wav was about the same price as a normal cd would cost = high quality
mp3,wma,aac formats were less but the quality wasnt there but at a cheaper price
now other downloads in protected content theres hugh chance that you couldnt get the music to burn to cd much less work on a ipod or similar device and at much less quality then wav at higher price .
they offer better produce at better price thats what makes RIAA mad .
RIAA is only out for the money , not offering better product.
