Cerulean Studios is the creator of Trillian, an installed desktop instant messenger app that lets you connect to multiple IM networks simultaneously, but they are looking to move into the Online world that Meebo has already well established themselves in.
I’ve been a diehard Trillian user since they first launced in 2000. Their app has always been terrific and a huge time-saver.
However, since the Web 2.0 craze, Trillian has been losing some ground to their strictly-online competitor Meeb0, another very nice system which doesn’t require one to download an app and there is now “Pro” user account, you get it all for free which is nice. Because of this, the guys at Cerulean Studios have been working hard on their latest web-based system named Trillian Astra. It’s pretty impressive and will definately give Meebo a run for their money.
